NO FIX - NO FEE
Other companies charge for quotations, typically £100+, so there is no real incentive for them to complete the repair. They can quote ridiculous prices for the repair once the diagnosis fee is secured. Their initial quote of £100 may sound reasonable, but add £300+ for parts, eg a motherboard, makes the repair totally uneconomical. You still have to pay them £100, even if you decline the repair.

Why pay for a failed repair?
We feel that it is unfair for customers to pay for failed or uneconomical repairs.

We never charge for diagnosis and let you decide if you wish to proceed with any repair that is more expensive than our original quote. If you decline the repair and collect your laptop, there is no charge, £0.00, zilch, zippo, nada, nothing to pay.

Repairs we perform:

• UK Laptop Repair Motherboard
  The laptop won't switch on or will crash intermittently. Some video problems also require a motherboard repair as most video chips are soldered onto the system board. Only a few laptops have a separate video card. Our engineers can perform component level repairs on most Dell motherboards. We can replace resistors, transistors and also perform work on major chips within your system. A lot of system board failures are caused by the motherboard bending when the laptop is moved. Have a look at our motherboard repair page. • UK Laptop Repair Power Socket
  The laptop fails to switch on and will not charge the battery. We repair or replace power sockets where the power pin has broken or has become disconnected from the motherboard. In most cases the motherboard needs to be removed from the system to complete the work. Sometimes the power connector makes a poor connection with the UK Laptop Repair jack. This causes arcing which can generate enough heat to melt the UK Laptop Repair dc jack and the power pin may become lose.

  The laptop switches on but the screen remains dark. In some cases a faint image is visible on the screen. A small hinge cover, costing 5p to manufacture, can cost more than £40+VAT to the end user.
