Most LCD/TFT screens are damaged by impact. Dropping laptop or stepping on them causes the glass in the screens to crack. One customer reported that his cat tried to attack the fish on his wallpaper and cracked the screen. Shutting the Brixton lid of the laptop with a pen on the keyboard will also destroy your screen. The Vaio liquid then escapes into other layers of the panel. If you see cracks on the screen with a rainbow effect, your screen is a write off. It will need to be replaced with an identical unit. It is very rare to find Brixton compatibility between screen and in most cases only an identical replacement will work. Connecting a non-compatible may damage the Brixton motherboard or the new screen. Blemishes may appear on your LCD screen. These can be caused be excessive pressure on parts of the screen. Electronic faults on LCD panels include bands or blank areas on the Travelmate screen. Most of the Brixton outer case of a laptop is made of plastic. These parts include hinge covers, palm rest assemblies, base plastics, drive bezels, switch panels, screen back and screen front bezels. Most Brixton brand manufactures are happy to supply these parts, others don’t supply any and we have to rely on used and pulled parts. Customers are often surprised by the cost of plastics - you have to take into Brixton account the stock control, administration and shipping costs involved in supplying small plastics. Typically, plastics can cost from £40-£100.
