Backup your laptop atleast once a week. Laptops are cheap and replaceable but personal photograps, documents and software may be lost forever. The output of an Acer inverter is controlled by the motherboard and software. Signals from the Samsung motherboard determine the on/off and brightness levels of the CCFL. Motherboard failures can prevent the Northolt CCFL from lighting the LCD screen. It is very important to determine which part has caused the backlight failure before ordering expensive Northolt inverter boards. Most suppliers will not welcome a returned part if it does not cure your problem after supplying a correct and working part.
