The Time CMOS setup allows you to configure how you want the Time BIOS and devices to operate. Certain setting are relevent to how the software behaves too. Try using the default setting when trouble shooting your Time laptop. To isolate the problem to a controller, drive, or CD-ROM. Make sure that the CD-ROM does not have any label attached to it. The label can cause damage to the drive or can cause the drive to fail.
