No Fix - No Fee is the best way.
Some companies charge for diagnosis - up to £100+. They are then able to quote ridiculous prices for the repair because the diagnosis fee is already secured. A few of our customers sent their machines to manufacturers, paid a £100+ diagnosis fee and were quoted £600+ for the repair. They declined and came to us for a much more cost effective repair.

Other companies expect you to pay hourly rates. This is flawed logic as a good engineer takes less time to complete a repair than a bad one. It means you pay extra for their incompetence. One minute over the hour and you pay for and extra hour, why?? Worse still, they expect you to pay even when they don't fix your laptop.

Our engineers work on a strict NO FIX - NO FEE basis. We only profit from completed repairs. This means that our engineers will quote the best possible price in order to encourage you to go ahead with a repair. You don't even have to pay courier/insurance charges if you collect your machine.
Most LCD/TFT screens are damaged by impact. Dropping laptop or stepping on them causes the glass in the screens to crack. One customer reported that his cat tried to attack the fish on his wallpaper and cracked the screen. Shutting the Ealing lid of the laptop with a pen on the keyboard will also destroy your screen. The Inspiron liquid then escapes into other layers of the panel. If you see cracks on the screen with a rainbow effect, your screen is a write off. It will need to be replaced with an identical unit. It is very rare to find Ealing compatibility between screen and in most cases only an identical replacement will work. Connecting a non-compatible may damage the Ealing motherboard or the new screen. Blemishes may appear on your LCD screen. These can be caused be excessive pressure on parts of the screen. Electronic faults on LCD panels include bands or blank areas on the Qosmio screen. We usually advise against these repairs. We are an Dell electronics repair company and firmly believe that "if it works leave it alone". Minor scratches and cracks on the body are not worth repairing. Most customer approach us for cosmetics repairs when they are about to sell the laptop - it is usually more cost effective to accept a lower price for the damaged laptop than to get it repaired and sell it.

RAM ERROR - Make sure your DIMM sockets are okay then try another known good module. Replace the faulty DRAM module Optical drives include CD, CD rewriters, CD DVD Drives and Combo Drive - CD, CD rewrites with Ealing DVD. These drives can become faulty with use in areas where there is a lot of dirt or smoke. Keeping your media clean will also help to ensure that Ealing dirt does not enter your laptop.
