Most LCD/TFT screens are damaged by impact. Dropping laptop or stepping on them causes the glass in the screens to crack. One customer reported that his cat tried to attack the fish on his wallpaper and cracked the screen. Shutting the Esher lid of the laptop with a pen on the keyboard will also destroy your screen. The Amilo liquid then escapes into other layers of the panel. If you see cracks on the screen with a rainbow effect, your screen is a write off. It will need to be replaced with an identical unit. It is very rare to find Esher compatibility between screen and in most cases only an identical replacement will work. Connecting a non-compatible may damage the Esher motherboard or the new screen. Blemishes may appear on your LCD screen. These can be caused be excessive pressure on parts of the screen. Electronic faults on LCD panels include bands or blank areas on the Presario screen. PC Card Socket Failure. An error occurs when a PC card device is installed. PC Card Socket Failure. Check if the PC CARD device is installed properly. Confirm PC card driver is installed ok.
