LAN Test Error. An error occurs when a LAN device is installed. Check if BIOS setup is ok. Board-level Troubleshooting or replace motherboard. The CMOS battery in most Toshiba laptops last about two years. If the voltage on the battery drops below 3V, the machine will start losing time/date and CMOS settings. In most case the battery is located on the motherboard and needs to be replaced by an engineer.

RAM ERROR - Make sure your DIMM sockets are okay then try another known good module. Replace the faulty DRAM module A write-enabled, diagnostic diskette is required. Make sure that the diskette does not have more than one label attached to it. Multiple labels can cause damage to the drive or cause the drive to fail. If an error occurs with the internal diskette drive, reconnect the diskette connector on the system board.If the error still remains reconnect the external diskette drive/DVD-ROM module and replace the external diskette drive/CD-ROM module.
