Audio Failure. No sound from speaker after audio driver is installed. Check if speaker cables are connected properly. Make sure all the drivers are installed properly. Try another known good speaker, CD-ROM. Exchange another known good charger board. The main function of a Swansea fan in a laptop is to cool the CPU. The Compaq modem electronics are sometimes on the motherboard or on a separate card. If your Swansea modem has failed then the first piece of equipment to check is the modem cable.
